Leaves

Hello! What a beautiful day, I loved all the leaves scattered about! Though I must admit, this week has been a tad extra cold… and unfortunately I’m not a big cold weather person. But oh well! In the midst of a week filled with calculus and chemistry… I couldn’t help but come up with ten things I’d rather be doing. So here they are:
  1. Bake a peppermint cake (my grandma’s recipe, I love mint)
  2. Ride bikes with one of my best friends Maddie Jaye (I’ll be doing a spread of us soon)
  3. Add to my fashion sketchbook (my favorite magazine cutouts)
  4. Go for a nice, long run
  5. Read Harry Potter
  6. Have a movie marathon complete with blankets and hot chocolate and boxer shorts and best friends
  7. Make homemade apple sauce (I LOVE apples)
  8. Go Goodwill hunting
  9. Sit outside and look at stars until I see a shooting star
  10. Buy lipstain
That’s all I’ve got for now.. But I’m always coming up with all sorts of things to do! Needless to say it won’t be the last time I share a list.

lets make a deal

It’s been a few days! This weekend I went up with a group of people to go snowtubing in North Carolina and it was awesome! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to post while I was gone.

I had to take some clothes to a consignment shop and I thought I might as well take advantage and make an outfit of the occasion!

over the river and through the woods

I’ve got to say, this outfit conceals some of my best deals. I had been looking for high-waisted olive trousers exactly this color for I don’t know how long and I finally found these wonderful things in a thrift store for… 80 cents! I was so happy. I also love the Justin boots and I got them for 5 dollars thrifting and they are so comfortable and awesome.

cozy: experiencing warmth, comforting

I thought I’d share a little of my room with you. Because it’s my place of escape, as well as where I spend a decent amount of time, I like it to reflect me. I love earth tones and to be honest I think if I just get things that I like they will go together (a claim I followed when getting my bedding ha).

I will also admit to one of my many quirks… I have a slight obsession with mugs. Thus, the owl mug above. Those who know me well may say I’m “addicted” to coffee and that simple things make me happy.. mugs are a combination of both. I love waking up in the morning and pouring my coffee in a cute mug. It’s so simple but nothing starts my day off better!

its my lucky day

It’s been a beautiful day! My sisters and I had all kinds of snow adventures: sledding (and crashing), building snowmen, climbing trees, swinging across ravines (on a rather small scale)… and roasting marshmellows! Luckily the roads are drivable now though, so hopefully we’ll have school tomorrow.

I’ve made a recent discovery: I actually really like tights and shorts. I didn’t think it would be for me, but I was proven wrong and they’re pretty convenient when it comes to turning a summer look into fall or winter! I challenge you to try something new, it may suprise you!

winter wonderland

So. Much. Snow. It has definitely been an uncommon week for Athens! Yesterday I enjoyed time with my sisters outside, but today has been an uneventful day, and I am not a fan of being stuck at my house. The mornings have been nice though! Coffee and oatmeal and enjoying the snow while staying warm inside:) Tomorrow will be the third day schools been cancelled, the longer I’m away the harder it’s going to be to get back into the work load that awaits me. Oh well.

I have been feeling very neutral lately! I couldn’t help myself from going along with yesterday’s, I just love it. Light colors like pink and cream and tan.. I love the way they look together and the light-hearted feel they give off! It felt perfect for a day like today.

snow is falling!

Hello! So this is my very first post and I’m very excited. I love fashion and being creative so I think this will work out well for me, and I hope you like it as well! You may notice my next few posts come up pretty quickly, because I orginally made a tumblr but decided this may work better for me:)

Last night it snowed! I woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow covering everything. Unfortunately this beautiful snow took about 20 minutes to knock off my car and has prevented me from going anywhere due to the hill I would have to overcome at the entrance of my neighborhood. The hill won. So I took the opportunity to make my first post! My lovely little sister agreed to assist in taking pictures.
